MIVedo, video platform for the public administration

The MIVedo video platform is a Public Administration digital transformation project created by YouCo for the Metropolitan City of Milan.
MIVedo is a video package designed to aid familiarisation with Milan’s metropolitan area, from its landscape to its beauty and people.
The portal is a showcase of the activities in the Metropolitan City of Milan and a video channel open to the participation of municipalities, associations and citizens.
On MIVedo, citizens can consult the video library owned by the Metropolitan City more easily and in an organised manner – a cultural heritage of great value, with over 3500 video contents and a significant section of works on 16 mm film going back to the early 1950s.
Features of MiVedo
Through the MIVedo platform, the Metropolitan City of Milan makes the following accessible to citizens:
- an up-to-date showcaseof the latest videos and those of greatest public interest,
- a large archive of videos on the Milan metropolitan area, grouped by topic in colourful sections, which help each user find the videos they are interested in.
The user experience of the MIVedo portal is optimised for use by even inexperienced customers, on every device, for every screen and browser.
The MIVedo project is one of those implemented by YouCo for the digital transformation of Public Administrations, an area calling for strong specialisation, solutions in line with AGID standards and knowledge of all aspects of accessibility for public administration portals.
Expertise and planning
The project, carried out in close collaboration with representatives of the Metropolitan City of Milan, saw the web agency YouCo involved in the role of PA Digital Transformation facilitator, one of the agency’s specialist areas.

Our needs in the process of creating the portal were complex and changing, but YouCo proved to be an absolutely competent partner and able to adapt quickly, demonstrating extreme flexibility and responsiveness.
The portal has undergone a significant evolution which has required not only a graphic restyling, but above all a capillary reorganization of the contents present and the relative navigation paths, in order to guarantee optimal usability in line with the AgID standards and the aspects related to the accessibility for PA portals.
YouCo has also supported us for aspects related to training, to provide officials with all the tools and skills necessary for updating and maintaining the portal in order to always guarantee a valuable digital experience.
