Parking Angels
YouWorkForce Parking Angels: sensors to monitor parking spaces and devices for automatic check-in.
Keeping track of what goes in and what comes out of warehouses is one of the most complex tasks for a company to perform. So much so that even the most organised businesses often risk getting lost in the multitude of packages to be handled, transported and stored: it is not easy to coordinate every single operation and make sure you always have the situation in hand. The solution lies in choosing the right technological tool capable of improving the company’s organisational situation. As a Mobile Solution Provider, YouCo can meet this need and develop specific software and applications for the logistics sector, as already done with YouWorkForce designed for a customer in this sector.
The Customer
YouCo’s customer is a well-established leader in the telescopic handlers sector. The constant focus on customer contact, the best possible technical and commercial service, and listening to the market, together with the ability to think ahead and Italian know-how, have led the company as we know it today, in its five years of existence, to rapid success.
It is essential to always know exactly which vehicles are parked and available and which are in service, anywhere, anytime. It was the specific aim of managing and controlling the fleet and the parking spaces that prompted the customer to turn to YouCo for the development of a tailor-made management solution.
How has the car park monitoring activity improved thanks to Parking Angels?
The customised solution planned by YouCo, Parking Angels, includes a sensor that monitors the occupancy of parking spaces, thanks to a small device to be left onboard the vehicle, powered by user-replaceable batteries and a token that signals the user or parked vehicle ID to the sensor. At the end of the authorisation process, an acoustic signal alerts the user that the authentication was successful.
Thanks to its experience and expertise, YouCo was able to understand the customer’s needs exactly, creating a three-component solution:
- a cross-platform app for Android/iOS devices that can be downloaded from a dedicated portal and connected in real time to the application server
- the YouWorkForce component consisting of a web portal, installed on a dedicated cloud or on-premises, which can be accessed using dedicated credentials
- industrial NFC tags. IP68 certified, resistant up to a maximum temperature of 130°C. Equipped with anti-metal layer and screw hole.
An NFC tag will be installed on each parking space to uniquely identify the parking space, and the web portal will need to be matched to the parking space ID of the NFC tag.
The YouWorkForce app will be installed on a tablet supplied to each operator.
The operator will:
- read the NFC tag on the parking space where the vehicle is parked
- acquire the vehicle’s ID by reading its label.
At the end of the operation, the operator confirms the data transmission, and it will be possible to view car park vehicle occupancy on the web portal.
