A complete tool for managing Public Security and Private Surveillance operations
The client who relied on YouCo is one of the largest groups in Italy within the private security sector. In fact, it boasts 50 years of history, 5 branches, 200 employees and over 3,000 special security guards (GPG) operating throughout Italy. Since the nineties, the group took on a series of services that were previously carried out by the Police Force: in this regard, it became one of the first group in Italy to offer private security in airports and to manage transport and custody of assets for large companies. In 2010 it introduced the security service in the transport sector. The company turned to YouCo to improve organizational processes and communication among security guards.
How did the company’s activities improve thanks to YouWorkForce?
The first step of YouCo to improve the activity of the group of special security guards consisted in allowing the management of shifts and the planning of patrols, through the integration with a system already adopted by the Client. Secondly, a customized agenda was created in which the missions and the different activities to be carried out, associated with each guard, were included. Thanks to these functions, it was also possible to establish the importance of the tasks, subdivide them and choose them according to the most urgent service. The quick and instantaneous updating of the agenda was an essential step, as the staff of the operational center side was able to change the order of the activities to be carried out at any time, according to their importance and to include new ones in case of emergencies.
Of course, it was essential for the company to ensure that the guards and the operational center were able to communicate in an efficient way. That is why YouWorkForce offered a module dedicated to the geo-location of activities, which could be tracked both in outdoor and indoor environments. Moreover, with this solution it was possible to exchange geo-localized, storable and re-listenable PPT (Push To Talk) voice messages. In real time, the device collects all the information coming from the field connected to them and creates a specific tracking and reporting case by case.
YouCo’s solution also allows managing mobile electronic clocking in/out, punching (interaction with RFID tags) and emergency prevention. The “Man Down” module ensures the immediate sending of a report in case of absence of movement by the security guard: in this way, in case of hazard, the alarm reaches directly the operational center or the nearest operational group, so that it can take prompt action.
