What are Accessibility Days?

Accessibility Days is the leading Italian conference for professionals working on digital accessibility: developers, UX designers, content managers, and IT managers from companies and public administrations. European Accessibility Act: What changes for companies and public administrations

With the European Accessibility Act (EAA) coming into force in June 2025, digital accessibility has become a regulatory requirement for a wide range of digital products and services in the European Union. The directive imposes specific requirements on e-commerce, mobile apps, online banking services, transport, and much more.

Organizations that do not comply risk administrative sanctions and exclusion from public procurement procedures.

What does the EAA require for corporate websites?
The EAA requires digital products and services to comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. For many companies, this means intervening in existing structure, code, content, and navigation flows.

Where do you start to comply with the EAA?

The project — presented at AI Week 2026 as a case history — involves the introduction of an AI agent capable of guiding citizens and operators through administrative procedures, providing updated information on calls for proposals, services and bureaucratic processes, and reducing the load of repetitive requests on physical counters.

The challenge: Regulatory complexity and the variety of citizen requests require significant resources for managing service desks and handling information on tenders, services, and administrative procedures.

The solution: YouCo developed an AI agent capable of guiding citizens and operators through administrative procedures, providing updated information and reducing the burden of repetitive requests on physical service desks — in full compliance with public data protection regulations.

Approach: The system was designed without ever resorting to a generic “digital assistant”: every response is anchored to the institution’s official documentation, with human supervision on complex cases.
