What is Mobile Device Management (MDM)?
Mobile Device Management (MDM) is a technological solution that allows for remote management of the life cycle of mobile devices and their respective platforms.
Through MDM services, it will be possible to provide operators and collaborators with secure devices for communication, data exchange, and organizing operational activities.
This branch of Enterprise Mobile Management specifically deals with the management of the company’s device fleet, monitoring their use by operators and the methods of exchanging sensitive data.
The primary functions that a Mobile Device Management system must fulfill are to simplify the configuration of devices when they are activated for the first time and ensure that the use of devices is always compliant with company policies, especially regarding the management of potentially confidential data and documents.

The personal zone, consisting of the employee’s personal information and applications, will not interfere with the business zone, which will be protected and totally separate from the first.
No company data can be endangered by careless actions performed by the employee while using the personal section. Similarly, the company will not be able to access the worker’s personal data during the use of the device in private mode.
In this way, both parties are protected, also in terms of GDPR, satisfying compliance with the principles of data minimization, integrity, and confidentiality.
