Projects from the IoT lab: Innovations in the making for an always-connected world
T “he high speed is supported by” RTK, which allows for centimeter-level precision of the GPS coordinate.
This solution is also crucial in situations of potential collision between vehicles, especially when moving at high speed in the same lane. T "he application includes a function called ‘Collision Warning’, which calculates in real-time the distance and speed of vehicles traveling in the same lane. Based on this data, the" app warns the driver of a possible impact with the vehicle ahead.
For this feature to be effective, it is essential that the GPS coordinates provided by the device are extremely precise, in order to detect with certainty that the vehicles are in the same lane. For this purpose, RTK (Real-Time Kinematics) technology is used, which ensures coordinate accuracy with a margin of error of just a few centimeters.
