YouCo’s client in the public transport sector is a municipal company located in Veneto, specialized in urban transport through traditional and LPG buses. A major need of the company was related to managing permits, holidays and shifts for numerous drivers, to avoid having to scramble for solutions at the last minute. How has the public transport company's activity improved thanks to YouWorkForce?

YouWorkForce was introduced in the public transport company with the aim of improving both the management of bus runs and all activities that take place within the headquarters. Thanks to YouCo’s system, it is now possible to geolocate all vehicles in service and monitor the routes traveled. All this in real-time and through a cartographic desktop.

Obviously, one cannot predict an accident and, consequently, a more or less substantial delay of the public transport. This is why YouWorkForce has decided to focus on improving interaction with the end customer, namely the passenger. Thanks to real-time geolocation, users can now observe minute by minute the progress of the bus on its route and note any delays. This has allowed the company to address any possible complaints: the passenger is informed that the bus is delayed due to an accident or a detour and, thanks to the calculation of the new arrival time, can carry out other activities while waiting.

With the aim of making the various activities of the headquarters operators as effective as possible, the possibility for drivers to indicate the beginning and end of their shifts through clocking in from a mobile device was introduced. From the same device, they can also request holidays and leave: in this way, the attendance register is continuously updated and there is no risk, especially on red calendar days, of having a shortage of drivers. Finally, thanks to the public transport management software, it is possible to assign, from the operations center, a specific vehicle to each driver.

YouCo has created a 360-degree strategy to improve the management of activities for this particular public transport company: it has allowed the headquarters to be constantly informed about its vehicles, keeping them monitored. Drivers have been able to start having a valid tool to request vacation days and shift changes. Finally, citizens can now use an app that informs them in real-time of any delays or issues with the buses.
