Overview
YouMandown is the YouWorkForce module that monitors the safety of operators, even in the most dangerous situations, and allows immediate intervention in case of problems. This is to ensure the safety of operators and thus prompt intervention in high-risk situations, in case of accidents or illnesses that cause prolonged absence of movement or sudden falls. The app also allows sending SOS alerts.
YouManDown operates by monitoring the operator’s movements through sensors present in the smartphone or mobile device.
The YouManDown functionality improves individual safety and provides support to companies, to ensure the protection of their employees and comply with current regulations on workplace safety. It is particularly useful in risky work environments such as construction sites, heavy industries, operations in confined or isolated spaces, where operators may find themselves working alone or in dangerous conditions.
Main features
Types of alarms
The absence of movement for too long or a sudden fall activates the “man down” functionality.
Prolonged pressure of a button (panic button) activates the SOS signal. The device sounds until presence is confirmed within a preset time; otherwise, it will send an alarm to all other users. The alarm occurs via Phone Call/SMS/E-mail/Push To Talk (YouTalkie), configurable to one or more targets set by priority.
Smartphone Tablet
The solution can be installed on devices equipped with Android or iOS operating systems with Accelerometer and Bluetooth 4.0+LE chipset (if Indoor Proximity is active).
It can also be used on rugged terminals and/or with specific characteristics, for example relating to use in workplaces with potential risk (ATEX zones, explosion risk…).
Wearable
The platform also supports wearable devices equipped with SIM capable of detecting absence of movement, sudden fall and/or exceeding inclination angle. It is possible to configure the sensitivity of immobility and inclination detection, adapting it to the specific needs of the client. The wearable also features manual emergency buttons that allow the operator to actively signal an emergency situation.
