Overview
The Municipality of Casalmaggiore wanted a digital ecosystem that would make its cultural content accessible, increase the visibility of cultural centers, and better engage citizens and visitors.
The digital transformation project of Casalmaggiore’s cultural network represented the driving force for the restart of the artistic-cultural sector after the Covid lockdown. With the intention of keeping pace with the growing acceleration of museums’ digital offerings, to face the challenges posed by the pandemic, the Theater, the Bijou Museum, the Diotti Museum, and the Civic Library of the Municipality of Casalmaggiore chose YouCo for the creation of their new websites. The main objective of the project was to offer visitors a platform with agile and functional use, characterized by a user experience optimized for navigation on any type of device.
In the strategy presented by YouCo, two fundamental elements stand out, usability and accessibility, necessary to ensure smooth and simple navigation of the web portal by users. These elements are always present in YouCo’s actions, as we always place the user at the center of all our projects.
Nowadays, online consultation predominantly occurs on mobile devices, so it was essential to focus on designing the site with a mobile-first approach, rather than making it responsive only as an afterthought.
The project and communication approach was to create a cultural network, in order to systematize the cultural offerings, mutually enhancing the various elements, connected visually and through a dedicated interactive section present on each site. In addition to enhancing the territory, the solution allowed for cost optimization by sharing the platform and modules created by YouCo, as well as optimizing the management time of the sites by editors.
