YouCo responded to the request of the Municipality of Segrate to create its new institutional website, providing its knowledge and expertise in developing web solutions for Public Administration and integrating these with the guidelines provided by AgID and the most updated model for municipal websites from Designer Italia.

YouCo is also one of the first private entities in Italy to have participated in a similar project for the PA.
An open-source solution was used for the creation of the site, to reduce implementation costs while ensuring product quality, replicating solutions previously adopted for developing web solutions for the PA.

For the implementation, the municipal staff was involved in the various phases, with releases managed in intermediate steps, to ensure optimization of time and the correct functioning of the agreed specifications.

First defining the objectives:

• create a usable and accessible tool, according to the current regulations for websites promoted by AgID, making user operations simpler and more effective
• integrate into the three-year Digital Transformation Plan envisaged by the government

For YouCo, it is important to put people and their devices at the center of every project, to ensure easy and pleasant access to content and functionality, without limitations, in any usage situation.

All this was accomplished through design, using the Design Thinking: methodology

This is to give fluidity to the user’s navigation logic, improve the internal systems of the site to use the contents, make the communication of the site’s contents effective, and adapt the site to the internet user’s own reading standards.
In addition to the modules integrated into our Opensource CMS, various customized modules were requested and provided, implemented based on the individual needs of the client, integrating them with the layout designed ad-hoc for the site.

Among the modules, we find tag-based search (topics) making cross-navigation possible, the creation of a button on each page that allows users to express opinions, a system for integrating News and Events, generating an interactive calendar, and a module dedicated to Transparent Administration, in compliance with the guidelines.
